Bill Bateman's Bistro Closes In Reisterstown: Report

The restaurant chain declined to renew its lease in a Reisterstown shopping center, says media report.

REISTERSTOWN, MD — A popular restaurant in Reisterstown closed its doors last weekend after 21 years in business, according to a media report. Bill Bateman's Bistro is down to five locations with the closing of its eatery in the Chartley Park Shopping Center, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.

The chain was started up by William Bateman, a former concert promoter, with the first bistro opening on Harford Road in 1987, the Business Journal said.

The chain is known for its pub fare, such as hamburgers and potato skins stuffed with crab dip.
