Black Bear Spotted Swimming In Liberty Reservoir

A Liberty Reservoir fishing trip resulted in the sighting of a more than 250-pound bear, which officials say are not common in the area.

Two people fishing in Liberty Reservoir this past weekend got quite the surprise when they spotted a bear swimming in the water. It was a fishing trip Ben Orlando won’t soon forget.

“At first I didn’t know what it was,” he said. “It just looked a little odd.” Upon further inspection, it turned out to be a black bear swimming across the Liberty Reservoir.
