Brush Fire Closed MD 140 Near Reisterstown, Officials Say

REISTERSTOWN, MD — A large brush fire closed MD 140/Westminster Pike near Reisterstown Tuesday afternoon, according to authorities.

Firefighters were called to the brush fire in the 1100 block of Westminster Pike after 4 p.m., the Baltimore County Fire Department reported.

No injuries were reported, and no buildings were impacted, officials said.

While the fire did not harm people or structures, it was having an impact on traffic, as Route 140 was closed near the Baltimore-Carroll county line.

"Expect major delays in the area," fire officials reported just before 5 p.m.
