The Classic Catering People Hosts Regional Catering Conference

For the first time, The Classic Catering People of Owings Mills hosted the Leading Caterers of America (LCA) Northeast Regional Conference, which took place in Baltimore from Jan. 7-9. The conference brought together 110 attendees from 13 of the top caterers in the Northeast United States and Canada to take part in educational sessions, networking opportunities, roundtable discussions and more.

This year’s three-day conference was packed with dozens of industry-specific sessions, covering topics such as “Cross Sales City to City,” the “Evolution of Catering,” “Fresh Eyes on Websites,” and “Fish are Sexy and Fun.” Sessions were presented by industry experts, leaders from Maryland-based organizations like The National Aquarium and McCormick & Company, and team members from The Classic Catering People. The majority of the conference took place at The Grand in Mount Vernon, one of The Classic Catering People’s newest off-premise venues. During the second night of the conference, attendees enjoyed a seated, full-course dinner at the George Peabody Library. To close out the last day of the conference, The Classic Catering People hosted conference-goers at its commissary for a dinner featuring multiple food and drink stations.
