Coronavirus In Owings Mills, Reisterstown: Nearly 160 Cases

Here are the latest coronavirus numbers by ZIP code for the Owings Mills and Reisterstown areas.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — More than 1,500 people in Baltimore County have tested positive for the new coronavirus, according to the Maryland Department of Health. So far, 37 people in Baltimore County have died from the virus, and seven people are believed to have been killed by COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the coronavirus, but lab results are pending.

The Baltimore County Health Department began releasing new coronavirus data by ZIP code this week, which shows 158 people in the Owings Mills and Reisterstown areas combined have tested positive for COVID-19.

Here are the number of cases as of Friday, April 17, according to Baltimore County:

  • 21117 ZIP code: Owings Mills — 117 cases
  • 21136 ZIP code: Reisterstown — 41 cases

There are 11,572 confirmed cases statewide of COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the virus, according to the Maryland Department of Health. Baltimore County accounts for 1,569.

The state's death toll from the virus is 425.

An additional 69 Marylanders are categorized as "probable deaths," since lab tests are required to verify they had the virus but their death certificates list COVID-19 as a cause of death.

Here are some of the other Baltimore County ZIP codes and their case counts as of Friday:

  • 21133 ZIP code: Randallstown — 148 cases
  • 21208 ZIP code: Pikesville — 110 cases
  • 21244 ZIP code: Windsor Mill — 95 cases

Randallstown appears to have the highest concentration of cases among the ZIP codes. Parkville is next with 136 in the 21234 area.
