Coronavirus Testing Center Hours Shift In Owings Mills

OWINGS MILLS, MD — Coronavirus testing centers operating through the Maryland Department of Health are changing their hours for the summer. The Owings Mills VEIP station is among those adjusting its hours of operation.

"As we move into Phase Two of our Roadmap to Recovery, summer-friendly testing hours will provide greater flexibility for Marylanders who are getting back to work," Gov. Larry Hogan said in a statement.

Hours will be from 8 a.m. to noon for the summer instead of 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

To get tested, Marylanders do not need to have symptoms or suspect exposure to COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.

However, they do need a doctor's order and an appointment to get tested at the VEIP stations.

The following testing sites will be open on an appointment-only basis:

  • Bel Air VEIP (Harford County)
  • Carroll County Agricultural Center (Carroll County)
  • Clinton VEIP (Prince George’s County)
  • Columbia VEIP (Howard County)
  • Glen Burnie VEIP (Anne Arundel County)
  • Hagerstown VEIP (Washington County)
  • Owings Mills VEIP (Baltimore County)
  • Prince Frederick VEIP (Calvert County)
  • Prince George’s County Health Department, Cheverly Office (Prince George’s County)
  • Six Flags America (Prince George's County)
  • Waldorf VEIP (Charles County)
  • White Oak VEIP (Montgomery County)

The testing center at the Owings Mills VEIP station will be open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday and Friday.

It is at the Owings Mills VEIP station at 11510 Cronridge Dr., Owings Mills, MD 21117

Officials say it typically takes two to five days to get results.

These sites are run through the Baltimore County Health Department:

  • Liberty Family Resource Center, 3525 Resource Drive; Randallstown, MD 21133; this site offers appointments 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays; walk-up.
  • Maryland State Fairgrounds, 2200 York Road, Timonium, MD 21093. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; drive-thru.

Patient First is offering drive-up COVID-19 testing at 10210 Reisterstown Rd., Owings Mills.

Other private businesses like some CVS, ExpressCare, Patient First, Rite Aid and Walmart locations are conducting testing for the coronavirus.
