Coronavirus Testing Sites To Open In Owings Mills, Randallstown
One coronavirus testing site will open at the Owings Mills VEIP station, and another is coming to the Liberty Family Resource Center.
OWINGS MILLS, MD — Baltimore County is opening two testing sites in the western part of the county to meet the demand for screening patients for the new coronavirus. Both will open next week, officials announced Friday.
One will be in Owings Mills at the Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program (VEIP), and the other will be at the Liberty Family Resource Center in Randallstown. These two sites will enable Baltimore County to offer testing five days a week.
At all testing sites run by Baltimore County, a doctor's order and appointment are required. People cannot merely show up. The first site, at Maryland State Fairgrounds, opened this week.

"Testing continues to be key in containing the spread of the virus," Baltimore County Health Officer Dr. Gregory Wm. Branch said in a statement. "Staging test clinics in communities that report a high number of confirmed cases will help us identify people who need to quarantine to protect against infecting others."
The Owings Mills VEIP site will operate Wednesdays and Fridays through a partnership with the state.

The Liberty Family Resource Center site, run through the Baltimore County Health Department, will be open Mondays.
"As we continue responding to this pandemic, additional testing capacity is critical to keeping county residents safe and a necessary condition for opening back up," County Executive Johnny Olszewski said in a statement. "These two new sites give us the capacity to, as they become available, perform significantly more tests in the areas of the county that have been hardest hit by the virus."
