Crime Blotter: Taxi Drivers Robbed, Victim Pursues Suspect in Car and More

A roundup of incidents in in three local police precincts.

The following crimes occurred in the the Franklin and Woodlawn precincts. These reports have been taken from precinct police blotters. 

Franklin Precinct

  • First Degree Burglary: On Nov. 1 between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m., a victim arrived home and interrupted a burglary in progress  on Amy Brent Way in Reisterstown, police report. The victim's son pursued the male suspect in his car and the suspect rammed the victim's son's car. Police said jewelry, watches and purses were stolen. 
  • Robbery: On Oct. 31 at 10:10 p.m., a victim was riding his bike in the area of Painters Mill Road and Grand Central Avenue in Owings Mills when two men, 15-20 years old, approached and assaulted him, police said. The suspects took the victim's phone and fled, according to police. 
  • Armed Robberty (Gun): On Oct. 31 at 2 p.m. two men held up the Starbucks in the 9700 block of Groffs Mill Dr. in Owings Mills with handguns. Police said the suspects took money from the register and fled the store. As they were leaving, police said one of the suspects hit a customer with the gun. The first suspect is described as a black male, 16 to 21-years-old, six feet tall and 140 pounds, police said. The second suspect is a black male, 16 to 21-years-old, six feet tall and 150 pounds, police said.
  • Second Degree Burglary: On Oct. 22 at 8:27 a.m., a suspect entered the 7-Eleven in the 3700 block of Crondall Lane in Owings Mills and walked into the office area where the manager had been counting money, police said. The suspect, described as a male, 40 to 50-years-old, five feet, five inches tall and 225 pounds, took money from the store and fled, according to police. 
Woodlawn
  • Second Degree Burglary: On Nov. 1 at 2:06 a.m., police said a man threw a brick through a glass window at Pro Nails, 6800 Dogwood Rd. and took money and hair extensions. 
  • Armed Robbery (Gun): On Oct. 29 at 1 a.m., two men, one armed with a gun, entered the 7-Eleven in the 7400 block of Windsor Mill Rd., police said. The suspects took money from the register, lottery tickets, cigarettes, and lighters and pepper sprayed the victim before fleeing, police said. Both suspects, according to police, are a black males, 35 to 40-years-old, six feet tall, and 200 pounds. 
  • Armed Robbery (Gun): On Oct. 27 at 2:24 p.m., a victim was walking in the area of Coleridge Road and Addington Road when he was assaulted by two males, police said. One suspect hit him with a handgun and demanded money. The second suspect searched through his pockets and took money. 
  • Armed Robbery (Gun): On Oct. 23 at 4:40 p.m., a Valley Cab driver picked up two suspects at the Milford Mill Metro Station. When they arrived, one of the suspects pointed a gun at the victim and demanded money, police said. The victim pushed the accelerator, and struck the side of an apartment building. The suspects fled after taking money and the victim's cell phone. One suspect was arrested nearby, and the second suspect fled on foot and was not apprehended. 
  • Robbery: On Oct. 22 at 1:50 p.m., the victim was in her backyard in the 3200 block of Gartside Ave. when the suspect grabbed her from behind and demanded money, police said. The suspect fled after the victim gave him money. 
  • Armed Robbery (Gun): On Oct. 22 at 1:17 p.m., a Valley Cab driver picked up two suspects at the Old Court Metro Station. The suspects waited for the victim to drive them to Vargis Circle, then displayed a handgun and demanded money, police said. The suspects fled after taking the victim's wallet, money, and cell phone. Police said both suspects are black males, 17 to 30-years-old, five-feet, eleven-inches tall and 180 pounds.
  • Armed Robbery (Gun): On Oct. 21, at 10 p.m., two suspects approached the victim and one suspect displayed a handgun in the area of the 7200 block of Chippenham Place, police said. The suspect took the victim's food, cell phone, iPod, money and identification card. The incident was not reported until October 27. Police said the first suspect is a black male, 25 to 40-years-old, five feet, nine inches tall, 150 pounds, with blue eyes and a bald head. The second suspect is a black male, 35 to 40-years-old, five feet, ten inches tall and 170 pounds.
