Flood Warning Expires In Baltimore, Carroll Counties

Drivers who encounter flooded roads should turn around; don't drown.

A flood warning was in effect for parts of Baltimore and Carroll counties Monday morning. The National Weather Service issued the warning, which means flooding is imminent or occurring.

The flood warning was in effect until 11:45 a.m. Monday, July 8.

Already, 1 to 2 inches of rain already had fallen by 7:40 a.m., weather officials said upon issuing the warning, and as heavy rain in the area continues, flooding is likely.

These places will likely experience flooding Monday morning, according to the flood warning: Pikesville, Cockeysville, Westminster, Towson, Woodlawn, Randallstown, Owings Mills, Eldersburg, Milford Mill, Reisterstown, Lochearn, Mays Chapel, Timonium, Mount Airy, Sykesville, Oakland, Gamber, Green Valley, Garrison and New Windsor.

A flash flood watch was in effect until 10 a.m. Monday for central Maryland.
