Franklin High School Celebrates State Champion Football Team

The Franklin Indians went 12-2 this season and won the state championship at M&T Bank Stadium.

The students and staff at Franklin High School were finally able to celebrate their state championship football team with a pep rally Friday.

Franklin knocked off the Linganore Lancers of Frederick County with a 20-7 win at M&T Bank Stadium Thursday, Dec. 5. This is the first time since Franklin's football program started in 1967 that the school has won a football championship title.

According to the school's principal Patrick McCusker, this is the first time a Baltimore County school has ever won the 3A state football title.
