Franklin High School Gets $1M For Concession Stand Project

REISTERSTOWN, MD — The Baltimore County Board of Education approved the contract for construction of a new concession stand and emergency access road at Franklin High School.

The $1,064,800 project covers building a concession stand and emergency access to fields, according to Pradeep Dixit, executive director of facilities management for the school system.

At Tuesday night's Board of Education meeting, Dixit said the funding was "part of a grant that was made available to us by Delegate [Adrienne] Jones."

The contract, which will go to Tech Contracting Co. of Baltimore, covers all labor and materials required to build a new concession stand and emergency access road to the stadium, as well as the associated site improvements and utilities, at Franklin High School. It falls under the school system's commitment to maintaining facilities.
