Franklin Senior Honored by National Football Foundation

Brady Orem received a $4,000 scholarship.

A Franklin High School senior was recognized for his athleticism and academic success last week at the National Football Foundation's 50th annual Scholar Athlete Awards dinner at Martin’s West.

Outstanding football players from 80 high schools in the central Maryland region were honored at the dinner on Wednesday, March 20.

Senior Brady Orem was selected to receive a $4,000 scholarship from the organization. He is a two time all-County selection and second team all-metro selection. He is a team captain and a member of both the National Honor Society and the Math Honor Society, according to a school press release.

Orem is also a member of the school’s indoor and outdoor track teams. During the current school year, Orem has been a member of Superintendent Dr. S. Dallas Dance’ student advisory board. He will head to the University of Rochester in New York in the fall, where he will continue his football career.
