High-Rise Apartment Being Built In Owings Mills

OWINGS MILLS-REISTERSTOWN, MD - From David S. Brown Enterprises: Construction has commenced on “The Met at Metro Centre,” a new seven-story, 114-unit luxury apartment project within Metro Centre at Owings Mills, a Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) located in the Owings Mills section of Baltimore County. Expected to deliver in spring 2019, The Met represents the only high-rise apartment building in the Owings Mills marketplace and integrates Metro Centre’s numerous on-site amenities that significantly surpass the competition. Metro Centre is the only TOD in Baltimore County.
The multi-family building will offer one bedroom apartment with den and two bedroom apartments with den, with the residential units ranging from 814 to 1171 square feet of space. Residents will have immediately access to the adjacent structured garage that provides free parking and 24/7 availability and the Owings Mills station of the Baltimore Metro line is located on-site. Downtown Baltimore can be reached using the Metro system in approximately 20 minutes. The largest branch of the Baltimore County Library and the Community College of Baltimore County is positioned next door to The Met at Metro Centre. The addition of these new apartments brings the number of apartments at Metro Centre to 350.
The resident amenity package includes an outdoor pool with seating, dining and grilling areas; an attached multi-story parking garage offering direct access off Interstate 795; a high-end fitness center with yoga room; and a community room equipped with a kitchen and special events area, TV room, game room and business center with state-of-the-art office equipment.

Metro Centre at Owings Mills is being developed by Owings Mills Transit, LLC and is managed by David S. Brown Enterprises, Ltd. It is designed to support more than 1.2 million square feet of Class “A” office space; 200,000 square feet of complementary retail space; 1700 residential units; educational facilities totaling 120,000 square feet and a full-service hotel offering 225 rooms.
Residents at Metro Centre at Owings Mills have access to an array of boutiques, shops and restaurants including Eggspectation and World of Beer. The TOD also sponsors regular special event programming throughout the year including food truck and wine festivals; concerts; free outdoor movie nights; a weekly Farmers Market and community-related activities.

More than 140,000 vehicles pass Metro Centre each day from Interstate 795. In addition, more than 5,000 commuters board the Owings Mills Metro stop each workday and approximately one million people exit the station on an annual basis. More than 30,000 consumers utilize the library and community college per month. The downtown business district and Baltimore City amenities, such as M&T Bank Stadium and Oriole Park Camden Yards can be accessed in approximately 20 minutes from the project.
