Human Library In Owings Mills Seeks Participants
Those who are interested in being "human books" for the Baltimore County Public Library may apply before April 14.

From BCPL: Baltimore County Public Library’s Owings Mills Branch will host the system’s second Human Library™, where people of different ethnicities, beliefs and experiences serve as “human books” for checkout. We are looking for 12-15 participants (18+) to serve as “human books” and engage in meaningful conversation with library visitors on Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (each “checkout”/conversation will last approximately 15 minutes).
The Human Library™ is a place where real people are on loan to readers and where difficult questions are expected, appreciated and answered. It’s designed to build a positive framework for conversations that can challenge stereotypes and prejudices through dialogue. The public will be invited to “check out” a living book and learn about a variety of experiences through questions and conversations.
The Human Library™ is designed to be a welcome, inclusive and non-partisan space. There is no political agenda. All responses are strictly confidential. Those who are interested in being one of our “human books,” are encouraged to apply at the following link before April 14: https://bit.ly/2HQ2uP7
