John Dickens Boyle, 79, Of Reisterstown

John Dickens Boyle, 79, of Reisterstown, passed away on Monday, March 19, at Seasons Hospice in Randallstown. Born on May 21, 1938 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late John C. and Cecile Boyle. He was the husband of Nancy K. Boyle for 58 years.

John worked for 27 years as a police officer for the Baltimore City Police Department. After he retired he worked several different jobs with Michaelson Motors, Koons, St. Joseph Medical Center and Santoni’s. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Knights of Columbus. John was a proud veteran who served in the United States Navy.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children: John E. Boyle of Savannah, Georgia, and Kacee Stephan and husband Joe of Reisterstown, MD, grandchildren: Genevieve and S. Katherine Boyle, Joseph, Christopher and Bridget Eileen Stephan, and many loving nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by siblings: Dennis M. Boyle, and C. Dorothy Boyle.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, March 22, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 23, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 63 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, MD.

Interment is private.
