Major Accident Shuts Down Rt. 140 At Carroll County Line
Rt. 140 and access to the northbound 795 ramp may be closed into rush hour.
Update: At 4:06 p.m. an SHA representative said that tow trucks are on scene and some lanes would be opening in approximately a half an hour.

The State Highway Administration (SHA) is reporting a major crash on Rt. 140 at the Carroll County/ Baltimore County line.
All lanes are closed, according to an SHA news alert. The ramp from northbound I-795 to MD 140 is closed also.
SHA will direct motorists to MD 30 (Hanover Pike) to MD 91 (Emory Road) to MD 140.
