Man Charged With Assaulting Church Worker
The suspect and the victim were both hospitalized after a scuffle that involved a baseball bat.
A 24-year-old man is charged with assault after he struck a maintenance worker at Sacred Heart Church with a baseball bat.
Shawn Alan Parks, 24, is charged with first-degree assault in the incident, which occurred at 5:40 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 1, according to Baltimore County Police.
When the worker arrived at the church, Parks was waiting for him with a baseball bat. After being struck several times, the worker got the bat away from Parks and hit him with it, police said.

Both men were taken to Sinai Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and Parks was charged upon his release, police said.
