MD Weather: Rain On The Way, Hazardous Outlook Issued
Potentially severe weather is on the way to Maryland. Here's what to expect.
MARYLAND — Potentially severe weather is expected in Maryland, including thunderstorms and heavy rain that could cause flooding this weekend. The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the Baltimore-Washington area, saying several rounds of showers and storms are expected through the weekend.
Thunderstorms are possible Friday evening, most likely after 5 p.m. Damaging wind gusts and large hail are possible, and so is flooding, according to the hazardous weather outlook.
Rain is supposed to come again Saturday night and continue into Sunday, when it will be heaviest, the National Weather Service advised.

Rain and thunderstorms will spread from west to east during the day on Friday, according to AccuWeather, which says they may not reach the Atlantic coast until Friday night.
From Saturday to Sunday, the cycle is forecast to repeat, according to AccuWeather.
Soon after one storm exits the Atlantic coast, rain and thunder from the next storm will build over the Midwest and head eastward, according to AccuWeather.
