Michael Myron Whitehead Sr., 69, of Reisterstown

Michael Myron Whitehead, Sr., of Reisterstown, passed away Feb. 2, 2017, at Seasons Hospice.

He was born in Baltimore to the late Jack l. and Reinilda Spellman Whitehead. During his working career he was a plumbing estimator. Michael was a Marine Corps veteran and a member of the VFW, Owings Mills and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. His passion was owning and training thoroughbred race horses.

Survivors include his wife Jacqueline Wright Whitehead, his children; Michael M. Whitehead Jr. and his wife Donna of Hampstead, Timothy W. Whitehead of Westminster, and Corinne M. Whitehead and her partner Joseph Castor of Reisterstown. He was a devoted grandfather to Brittni, Tyler, Hunter, Nicholas, Ashley, Kirsten and Braiden, and proud great grandfather of four. He is also survived by one brother Charles L. Whitehead of York, Pennsylvania. and his sister Mary Patricia Figgins of Dundalk.

Family will receive friends on Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, PA 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills. Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, 1 p.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 63 Sacred Heart Lane, Reisterstown, with interment to follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
