New Baltimore Bus Route To Serve Guinness Brewery
The Maryland Transit Administration will start a pilot bus route from downtown Baltimore to the Guinness Brewery in Halethorpe.

BALTIMORE, MD — A new bus line will serve thirsty visitors to Baltimore who want to sample the latest beers offered at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Halethorpe. The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) announced this week that it will begin a year-long pilot program involving a bus route from downtown to the brewery on Sunday, Sept. 1.
More than 400,000 people have visited the Guinness Brewery since it opened about a year ago, and it employs more than 200 people, according to an MTA statement (see map below).
The agency said it will install a new bus stop at the brewery for the CityLink Yellow line. The buses on the pilot route will run on weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays, and travel time between downtown Baltimore and Guinness will range from 30 to 40 minutes.
