New Town High School's boys basketball team has a shot at the <a href="http://www.mpssaa.org" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">MPSSAA (Maryland Public Secondary School Athletic Association)</a> state finals if it can defeat the 1A West regional champion next week. The team defeated Pikesville 71-58 Thursday night, and will now face either Brunswick of Allegany, who compete in the 1A West regional championship game Saturday, March 9, at 12 p.m. New Town and the winner of Saturday's game will play on Friday, March 15, at 3 p.m. at the Comcast Center in College Park.
