New Town Sunoco Sells $50K Lottery Ticket

Someone who purchased a lottery ticket in Owings Mills won $50,000, Maryland Lottery officials say.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — A $50,000 winning lottery ticket was sold at a gas station in Owings Mills this week, according to the Maryland Lottery.

New Town Sunoco on Lakeside Boulevard sold the ticket for the drawing that took place Sunday, Aug. 16, lottery officials said.

To play Bonus Match 5, players select five numbers from 1 to 39 and are eligible for a prize if they match three or more winning numbers.

The winning ticket from the Aug. 16 drawing matched the numbers 5, 8, 11, 19 and 24. The bonus ball was 39, officials said.

Lottery officials encourage winners to sign their tickets and put them someplace safe until it is time to claim the prize money.

For selling the lucky ticket, the New Town Sunoco will receive a $500 bonus.
