Nurse At Randallstown Facility Dies From Coronavirus: Report

A nurse in Randallstown reportedly died from the new coronavirus. She was 53.

A nurse at the FutureCare Old Court reportedly died from the new coronavirus. The facility in Randallstown serves those in short-term rehab and long-term care.

Quen Agbor Ako, 53, died April 10 due to complications from the virus, according to the Baltimore Brew, which reported nobody from the facility would comment on the nurse's death.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced new regulatory requirements Sunday requiring nursing homes to inform residents, their families and representatives about cases of COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the new coronavirus, in their facilities. In addition, cases must be reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Ako, who was from Cameroon, leaves behind four children, her husband, grandmother, mother, six siblings and many other relatives, according to her obituary.

She was described as someone who "preferred to look on the brighter side of life" and "made sure everyone felt special and knew how precious and important they were."
