Owings Mills Jewish War Veterans Celebrate Group Milestone

The Jewish War Veterans, which has a post in Owings Mills, has been around for 125 years.

BALTIMORE, MD — Members of the Jewish War Veterans Post 167 reportedly celebrated the organization's 125-year history Monday with a ceremony at the War Memorial in Baltimore.

At the memorial, a colonel said that the Jewish War Veterans was formed in part to shed light on the fact that a disproportionate number of Jewish people served in the Civil War, more than their share of the population, according to WMAR.
