A vigil was held in his honor at New Town High School on Monday, Aug. 12.

Police have not identified a suspect in the deadly crash as of Thursday, Aug. 15.

The crash occurred in the 1200 block of Hilton Parkway at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10. A silver sedan hit the group of four friends, as they were changing the tire on a Nissan Altima.

One of Nowlin's friends jumped in front of him to try to save him, his mother told Fox 45.

Officials said the car that hit the group stopped briefly, then left the scene before police arrived.

The woman who had been driving actually got out of her vehicle after the crash but got back in and drove away, according to WBAL, which reported Nowlin died Sunday at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

The car that hit him and his friends was described as a silver-colored four-door sedan that had been going north on Hilton Parkway.

Anyone with information about the car or driver in the crash can call detectives from the Baltimore Police CRASH Team at 410-396-2606.
