Police found a human hand in Reisterstown on Wednesday, Nov. 14, and found the body that following Saturday of a Baltimore man who the hand belonged to. Police ruled the death a suicide and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said the body was subject to “animal activity.”

Aspiring McDonogh School Student Alec Cosgarea Dies in July Crash
The community remembered Cosgarea as a leader among his peers and a standout swimmer. At the start of the school year, Cosgarea’s best friend, Ian Silverman, earned a gold medal and set a new record at the Paralympic Games in London in the 400-meter freestyle swim. It offered Silverman and the McDonogh community a much-needed pick me up after Cosgarea’s passing.
