Owings Mills Teen Wins $50K On 'Jeopardy': Report
A home-schooled student from Owings Mills came in second this week in a teen tournament on the TV game show "Jeopardy," says media report.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — A Baltimore County teenager finished near the top of the standings in a trivia tournament this week on "Jeopardy," the TV game show, according to a media report. Emma Arnold, of Owings Mills, came in second place in the Teen Tournament and won $50,000, the Annapolis Capital Gazette reported.
The tournament began Nov. 7 with 15 participants from across the country between the ages of 14 and 17, and concluded on Monday and Tuesday, according to the Capital Gazette.
Emma, a high school junior who is home-schooled, said that she plans to use her prize money to pursue her dream of becoming a writer. She has already spent $300 on a new pair of ice skates, the Capital Gazette reported.

Claire Sattler, a Florida teen, won the first-place grand prize of $100,000 in the "Jeopardy" tournament, while Maya Wright, a Georgia teen, finished third and won $25,000, according to the Capital Gazette.
