Gas Leak Closes Owings Mills Boulevard Tuesday

Officials are estimating that it will take four to six hours to fix the broken gas line, according to police.

A broken gas line  in the area of Owings Mills Boulevard and Bonita Avenue closed the road for hours Tuesday. 

Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) is reporting that the gas line break will take four to six hours to fix, according to police.

Rachael Lighty of BGE said that a paving crew struck the gas main Tuesday morning and that BGE crews arrived on scene around 11 a.m. She said that no customers were affected by the leak.

According to a police spokesperson, Owings Mills Boulevard was closed from Straw Hill Court to Bonita Avenue. Golden Grass Court to Ashley Way was also closed while officials investigated. 

Police said there were no evacuations.
