Rice, 28, was cut from the Ravens in September after a video showing him hitting his wife in an elevator was released. The running back played for Baltimore from 2008 to 2014 and was part of the team during its Super Bowl win in 2013.

He and his family plan to move near his hometown of New Rochelle, N.Y., according to The Baltimore Sun.

Recently, his 4-bedroom, 3-bath home in New Rochelle made it onto the “Top 20 Athlete Vacation Homes” list by sports enthusiast site The Sportster.

Located on Victory Boulevard, the property is actually the house that Rice bought for his mother, Janet Rice, according to NJ.com. He purchased the home in 2012 after signing a five-year, $40 million contract with the Ravens.

“The first thing I did, just being honest, is I got my mom a house,” he told NFL.com at the time.

With Baltimore in the rearview since the contract was terminated in September, Rice is continuing to train in hopes of being signed by another team. He has been offered a $1 million contract to be the spokesman for Fantasy Football site Prodraftleague.com, according to TMZ.
