Reisterstown Man Dies in Single Vehicle Accident

Police said the car was "traveling at a high rate of speed" before it left the road.

A 23-year-old Reisterstown man died in single vehicle accident in Pikesville, police said. 

On Jan. 24 at around 10 p.m., a Lexus IS300 speeding on north-bound Old Pimlico Road just south of Woodbox Lane left the roadway, struck a BGE pole, struck a tree, started to roll, struck two more trees, and came to rest back on north-bound Old Pimlico Road, according to police reports. The driver was ejected from the vehicle before it came to rest on the road, police said.

The driver, 23-year-old Phillip Maxim Podin of Brampton Ct. in Reisterstown, was transported by Baltimore County Medic to Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
