Expect Major Delays For County Executive's Funeral Procession

Drivers be advised: Road closures will impact Park Heights Avenue, I-695, I-795, Franklin Boulevard, Nicodemus Road and Berrymans Lane.

REISTERSTOWN, MD — The funeral for Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz took place on Friday, May 11, and significant delays are expected in the area, transportation officials say. The funeral ended at 3 p.m., and a funeral procession will travel from the site of the service in Pikesville to the cemetery in Reisterstown.

There will be major delays during the afternoon rush hour in the Pikesville and Owings Mills areas, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration.

The service ran from 2 to 3 p.m. on Friday at Baltimore Hebrew Congregation, 7401 Park Heights Avenue, Pikesville, MD 21208. The funeral service was broadcast through the Baltimore Hebrew Congregation.

Burial will follow at the Baltimore Hebrew Cemetery on Berrymans Lane, and the funeral procession is expected to begin at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, May 11.

  • Park Heights Avenue north to Interstate 695 west
  • I-695 west to I-795 north
  • I-795 north to exit 7B/Franklin Boulevard west
  • West on Franklin Boulevard to Nicodemus Road
  • Right onto Nicodemus Road to Berrymans Lane
  • Right onto Berrymans Lane to the cemetery

Drivers should anticipate road closures in the area of Park Heights Avenue at Slade Avenue starting at 11:45 a.m. for the funeral County officials say the closures will continue until 4 p.m.
