Shih Tzu Seemingly Dropped Off in Owings Mills Neighborhood
The good Samaritan who found her believes he saw someone run away from the pup and drive off in a van.
OWINGS MILLS, MD--Here’s a Facebook post from a Patch Reader in Owings Mills about a lost pet:
I found this dog in my neighborhood, the village of Queen Anne. I believe she was dropped off there, at least that's what it look like to me. I was walking my dog ryder, and saw a dog running loose in a yard a few blocks away, with someone else running towards a van that drove off. I picked her up and walked around the neighborhood. No one said they recognized her. I took her to advanced vet, got all her shots and an examination, and then took her to Tail End Kennels. She looks like a shitzu, that is under weight, her nails were long, her fur matted, and she was not spayed. She certainly can use a bath and grooming. She's definitely had puppies before. I gave her the name Queenie (at least for now) because she was found in my development of Queenanne. Thanks to Lizzie and Russell for their help and guidance.

The American Pet Products Association estimates that Americans own 70 to 80 million dogs and 74 to 96 million cats. That’s a lot of furry friends to keep track off.
And according to the ASPCA, about 649,000 animals who are brought to shelters as strays are returned to their owners each year. We can help raise that number by ensuring our Patch Pets make it home safe.
