Storms To End Heat Wave: Baltimore County Weather
The National Weather Service has issued a warning for Baltimore County Sunday due to heat, but relief is ahead.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — For the third day in a row, temperatures may feel like they are in the triple digits. Due to the sweltering conditions, the National Weather Service issued an excessive heat warning for most of Maryland, including Baltimore County.
There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms Sunday night, and then heavy rain Monday will finally break the heat.
First, the excessive heat warning takes effect from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, calling for dangerously high temperatures and humidity that could lead to heat stress or heat stroke.

The excessive heat warning says temperatures may reach 110 degrees on the heat index, which is what it will feel like outside due to humidity. Actual temps will range from the high 90s to 100.
It will be hottest in Baltimore County around 2 p.m., when the heat index is expected to hit 109 degrees and it will be 97 degrees outside, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Sunday: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 97. Heat index values as high as 109. Scattered showers and thunderstorms after 5 p.m. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Low around 76.
Monday: High near 88, and low of 68. A chance of showers and thunderstorms that could produce heavy rain. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81 and low of 64. A chance of showers, mainly before noon. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82 and low near 64.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 84 and low near 66.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 86 and low around 68.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 87.
