For many, new shoes are not remarkable. But 65 years later, one Towson Patch blogger remembers a particular pair, purchased for her by her mother. “Oh, my wonderful and darling mom,” wrote Elita Sohmer Clayman. “She had money to spend on a fourteen year old with a pair of almost thirteen dollar shoes and she wore patches under her arms.”

Think your exercise routine is boring? Westminster Patch blogger Kate Johnson is a Westminster resident and a spokesperson for Christian Science.
