Taxi Driver Crashed Into Brick Wall During Armed Robbery

Two men robbed a taxi driver after she picked them up at the Owings Mills Metro station.

A taxi driver drove her cab into a brick wall after being assaulted by two men she picked up from the Owings Mills Metro station.

The taxi driver picked two men up from the Metro station at 10:25 p.m. on May 22, and drove them to the intersection of Lathe Road and Lower Mill Drive in Owings Mills, according to a police report. The two men struck her with a gun, according to Lt. Stephen Doarnberger, assistant commander of the Baltimore County Police’s Franklin precinct.

“After they started striking her with a gun, she ran the cab into a brick wall,” he said. “At that time, both of them took off.”

The two men grabbed a bag of the taxi driver’s personal belongings that was in the back seat before fleeing, Doarnberger said.
