Wednesday, Sept. 23 Yom Kippur. Schools and offices closed
Friday, Oct.16 Systemwide Professional Development Day/MSEA Convention. Schools closed for students; teachers on duty.
Friday, Oct. 30 First marking period ends. Schools close three hours early for elementary and middle school students. Teachers on duty. High schools in session full day.
Thursday, Nov. 12 Distribution of report cards. Preschool-3 and PreK Conference Day . No Preschool-3 or PreK. Teachers on duty.
Friday, Nov. 13 Elementary Conference Day. Schools closed for elementary school students . Teachers on duty . Middle schools and high schools in session full day.
Monday, Nov. 16, to Friday, Nov. 20 American Education Week.
Thursday, Nov. 26, to Friday, Nov. 27 Thanksgiving holiday. Schools and offices closed.
Wednesday, Dec. 23 Winter break begins at the end of school day.
Monday, Jan. 4 Schools reopen.
Monday, Jan. 18 Dr. Martin Luther King Junior’s birthday observed. Schools and offices closed
Tuesday, Jan. 19 Schools closed for students. Teachers on for half-day systemwide professional development. Half-day grade reporting and data analysis. Full-day preparation for teachers with semester courses.
Monday, Feb. 15 Presidents Day. Schools and offices closed.
Friday, March 4 Half-day systemwide professional development for elementary and middle schools. Schools close three hours early for elementary and middle school students. Teachers on duty. High schools in session full day.
Thursday, March 24 Easter holiday/spring break begins at the end of school day.
Monday, April 4 Schools reopen.
Friday, April 8 Third marking period ends. Schools close three hours early for elementary and middle school
students. Teachers on duty. High schools in session full day.
Tuesday, April 26 Primary election day. Schools and offices closed.
Monday, May 16 PreK and Kindergarten conference day. No Preschool-3, Pre-K, or Kindergarten sessions.
Tuesday, May 17 Pre-K conference day. No Preschool-3 or Pre-K Sessions.
Friday, May 27 Last day for seniors.
Monday, May 30 Memorial Day observed. Schools and offices closed.
Tuesday, May 31 Commencement exercises begin.
Wednesday, June 1, to Thursday, June 9 Commencement exercises.
Wednesday, June 15 Assessment Day. Elementary, middle, and high schools in session full day. Last day of classes for Preschool-3 and Pre.
