80-Year-Old Man Found Dead After Disappearance: Police
Police said an 80-year-old man who disappeared Wednesday in Parkville was found deceased.

PARKVILLE, MD — A man who was reported missing Wednesday from Oak Crest was found dead Thursday morning, according to authorities. He was found after a more than 12-hour search that involved bloodhounds and a helicopter.
David Reeves, 80, was located in a ravine in a densely wooded area when he was found around 9 a.m. Thursday, police said.
Before that, officials said he was last seen around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. His family had reported him missing, and officers were called before 6:45 p.m. to the 8800 block of Walther Boulevard to Oak Crest, a community for older adults where he lived.

Police said security on campus conducted an extensive door-to-door ground search, checking security cameras and buildings. A helicopter also searched the area from above, while K-9 officers with two search-and-rescue bloodhounds canvassed the vicinity on the ground. They could not find Reeves, officials said.
"Through cooperative efforts, police and Oak Crest personnel continued investigative and search efforts until Reeves was located in a ravine in a densely wooded area near the end of Woodcove Court just before 9 a.m. this morning," police said in a statement Thursday afternoon.

PREVIOUS REPORT — A man who lives at Oak Crest Village in Parkville has been reported missing. Police said he was last seen around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
David Reeves, 80, is described as bald, 5-feet-11-inches tall and 160 pounds. He walks with a slow shuffle, may be wearing glasses and could seem confused.
He lives at Oak Crest Village, a community for older adults in the 8800 block of Walther Boulevard.
