Baltimore County Sets Last Day of School

State grants snow day waiver for school system.

The Baltimore County Board of Education finalized the last day of school for the 2014–2015 academic year.

Here is the plan, which varies based on grade level, according to Baltimore County Public Schools:

  • Tuesday, June 16—last day for preschool and prekindergarten.
  • Thursday, June 18—last day for elementary and middle school students; half days on June 17 and 18.
  • Friday, June 19—last day for high school students; June 15 to 19 will be half days for high schoolers.

All school systems must offer 180 hours of instruction each academic year, and Baltimore County Public Schools built seven extra instructional days into its calendar to account for inclement weather. Snow days continued into early March this year.
