Belair Road Intersection Closed Due To Utility Issue: Officials

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Due to a utility problem, a Belair Road intersection is closed near Overlea. The closure took effect after 5 p.m. on Monday, June 17, according to state transportation officials. Belair Road at Taylor Avenue was closed until further notice.
Crews were still working to repair the water main break at 7:30 p.m. Monday, according to WJZ, which reported two residents' basements had flooded as a result.
After midnight Tuesday, the intersection remained closed for utility work.

A 12-inch water main broke in the area, flooding the road and leading to backups that stretched to Interstate 695 as the evening rush hour began, according to WBAL.
