But Will the Deer Pay Attention? 'Deer Crossing' Signs Coming to Carney
Twelve deer/vehicle collisions in the past five years prompt the sign installation on Northwind Road.

The installation of some deer crossing signs near Carney will bring one example of the democratic process to a successful conclusion, according to Baltimore County Councilman David Marks.
After Marks' office received numerous complaints about deer/vehicle collisions along a particular stretch of Northwind Road between Carney and Perry Hall, the councilman asked the Baltimore County Department of Public Works to investigate.
The investigation revealed 12 reported deer hits over the past five years, according to a statement from Marks.
As a result of constituent complaints and government action, deer crossing signs will be installed along the 3200 and 3400 blocks of Northwind Road, according to Marks.
"I would like to thank the county for erecting this signage, which will be a gentle reminder that there are deer in the wooded area north of Northwind Road," Marks said in the statement. Â
