Flea market and Vendor sale to Benefit Cub Scout Pack 16 will be HUGE!

Local Cub scout pack 16 is set to host a HUGE flea market and vendor sale this weekend!

Looking to find a new way to raise money for their cub scout pack besides just selling things in these tough economical times local cub scout pack 16 decided to think outside the box. One of the things scouts teach is to be thrifty and what is more thrifty then buying items second hand. Thus the idea of a flea market evolved. Many of the scouts families could no longer afford to dish out lots of money to buy popcorn, wrapping paper and other fundraising items but almost everyone has some things they no longer want that they are willing to donate for a good cause. Since asking the community for donations of items to sell they have had such an overwhelmingly positive response from the community willing to clean out some items so that the scouts can cash in.

Not only are the scouts planning to sell the donations they accept they have also called in the help of local businesses, crafters, consultants from companies like Tupperware, LulaRoe, Avon just to name a few, and local families who would like to sell yard sale items. With 16 vendors already signed up to participate and spaces still available this sale is really going to be huge. "We want to do things like this to let the community know that local scouts are active in our community. We are teaching local boys the importance of honesty, respect, and being of service to our community with events like scouting for food and stream clean ups. Unfortunately it cost a money to run our pack and we hope this will become a yearly fundraising tradition" said Cub Scout pack leader. There will also be someone to talk to at the event if you would like to get your child involved in scouts.

Don't want to miss out on your chance to support local scouts. Donations are being accepted on Friday, September 9th, 6pm-8pm and the sale is the following day on Saturday, September 10th, 7am-12pm at Kenwood Presbyterian Church 4601 Kenwood Ave. Baltimore, MD 21236
