The event began as the ROTC Color Guard presented the colors, escorting four resident-veterans of Oak Crest in uniform to the main stage.

Speakers included Michelle Baylor Brolo, a resident of Oak Crest and an eight-year veteran of the Army in Military Intelligence, Lt. Colonel Sean Gallagher, the Loyola University Department Chair & Professor of Military Science and Bronze Star recipient, and Cadet Kyle Rose, a senior at Towson University.
