Man Charged In Harford Park Stabbing

The victim was allegedly stabbed during a drug deal.

A Parkville man has been arrested and charged with stabbing another man during a drug deal in the Harford Park neighborhood Saturday night.

Joshua Ritter, 28, of the 2500 block of Wycliffe Road has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery and first-degree assault, according to police spokeswoman Cpl. Cathleen Batton. Ritter is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Police say that around 9:25 p.m. Mar. 16, officers responded to the 2500 block of Creighton Avenue for a subject with a stab wound.

Ritter and another man had been in a car near the intersection of Creighton Avenue and Park Place doing a drug deal when Ritter pulled out a knife and demanded drugs from the victim, Batton said. 

Ritter then stabbed him several times, took the drugs and ran off, Batton said.

Police said the victim's injuries are non-life-threatening.
