Oak Crest Good Guys Capture Softball Title

Resident team earns 5th title in 6 years at tourney featuring seniors from mid-Atlantic

Parkville, Maryland—Behind timely hitting, solid defense and clutch pitching, the Good Guys, the resident softball team at the Parkville-based retirement community, earned a pair of victories to capture the Annual Erickson Living Softball Tournament.

It was their third consecutive championship. The Good Guys also won the tournament in 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2015.

The event, held in Catonsville at Charlestown retirement community on June 8, matched residents from Oak Crest, Charlestown, Riderwood (Silver Spring) and Greenspring (northern Virginia) in a two-round format.

In the opening game, the Good Guys jumped to an early lead to defeat Charlestown 15-1.
In a highly competitive championship game, Oak Crest defeated Riderwood 7-5.

The Good Guys received vocal, enthusiastic support from residents of Oak Crest who made the trip to Charlestown.
