Nick Markakis needs your help.
The Orioles right fielder, who last season won his first Gold Glove, is nearing his first MLBÂ All-Star Game appearance. He's currently about 150,000 votes out of the final starting outfield spot for the American Leaguers.
The game is slated for July 16 at Citi Field, the home of the Mets, and the starters will be named on Saturday night. Voting closes at 11:59 p.m. ET on Thursday.
For about two weeks, Markakis ranked third in voting amongst American League outfielders. The top three reach the game as starters.
This week's update revealed that Toronto outfielder Jose Bautista leapfrogged Markakis for what would be the final starting spot.

Chris Davis, Adam Jones and J.J. Hardy have starting spots in hand barring a change atop their respective positions. Manny Machado and Chris Davis are second at their positions.

Last week, fellow outfielder Nate McLouth appeared at Modell's sporting goods in Parkville along with the Oriole bird and the #VoteOrange street team to drum up votes.Â
