Roof Collapses at Parkville Middle School
Snow led to partial collapse of roof at middle school, Baltimore County public safety officials say.
PARKVILLE, MD – Crews responding to a fire alarm at Parkville Middle School Monday night arrived to find the roof had partially collapsed, according to Baltimore County public safety officials.
At 9:50 p.m. on Monday, first responders were dispatched to the school in the 8700 block of Avondale Road, where they discovered that an uneven snow drift caused the roof to collapse, according to EMS Lieutenant Tim Rostkowski.
There were no injuries as a result of the incident, which happened in the part of the school adjacent to the gym, Rostkowksi said.
