5 Perry Hall Students Named National Merit Semifinalists
Perry Hall High School has the most semifinalists of all schools in Baltimore County.

Five students from Perry Hall High have been selected as semifinalists for the National Merit Scholarship Program, according to a press release from Baltimore County Public Schools.
Approximately 1.5 million high school juniors applied for the 2014 Merit Scholarship and only 16,000 (about 1 percent) are selected as semifinalists, according to the release.
The five Perry Hall semifinalists are among 19 students selected from Baltimore County, and Perry Hall had the most move to the semifinalist round.
"These superlative students deserve our congratulations and our support as they begin the next stage of the National Merit process," said Superintendent S. Dallas Dance, in the release. "They are an inspiration to all of Team BCPS."
Students selected in the next stage as finalists compete for 8,000 scholarships, collectively worth more than $35 million.
Here are the Perry Hall students selected as semifinalists:

- Ethan T. Burbridge
- Charlotte F. Li
- Sean W. Owen
- Savannah J. Speir
