Akira Ramen & Izakaya Now Open On The Avenue At White Marsh
The Avenue announced its newest restaurant is now open.
WHITE MARSH, MD — Akira Ramen & Izakaya has opened, The Avenue at White Marsh announced this week. The restaurant welcomed guests Wednesday, Oct. 9.
Located near Bar Louie, the eatery features noodles that it makes from scratch.
It has indoor and outdoor seating as well as an open kitchen.

The menu includes appetizers such as spring rolls, seaweed fries and tempura; eight types of ramen, including vegetable, spicy "Volcano" and shrimp tempura; and green tea ice cream or cheesecake for dessert.
"Akira" means bright or clear, while "Izakaya" is the word for a Japanese tavern. However, the restaurant does not yet sell alcohol.

There are two other Akira Ramen & Izakaya locations. One is in Rockville and the other is at Canton Crossing in Baltimore.
