Baltimore County, White Marsh VFC Host Public Safety Day

Residents can check out emergency vehicles, learn safety measures during Public Safety Day on Saturday.

The White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company is holding an informative open house and demonstrating equipment as part of Public Safety Day on Saturday.

From 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., firefighters will give lessons on fire prevention, emergency medical screening and CPR in the station at 5419 Ebenezer Rd. Admission is free and food will be for sale.

Baltimore County police and firefighters will also be performing demonstrations and showing off some of their equipment on Saturday. 

The Baltimore County Police Community Relations Councils are sponsoring their Public Safety Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hunt Valley Towne Center, according to a news release. 

The event, which is free and open to the public, will include: 

  • K-9 dogs in action
  • Armored car up close
  • Police motorcycles
  • Aviation Unit and its helicopter
  • Tactical Team
  • Fire Department trucks, engines and other fire service apparatus
  • A CPR ”Hands Only” demonstration
  • Kids’ face painting and fingerprinting
