Belair Road Closure To Run Through Weekend In Perry Hall
Officials say the water main break on Belair Road has resulted in a closure lasting through the weekend.
PERRY HALL, MD —A major water line break has closed US 1 in Perry Hall Friday. Officials say the closure of Belair Road/Route 1 will continue through the weekend.
Route 1 will be closed to both north and southbound traffic from the Dunfield Road/MD 43 ramp intersection to the Silver Spring Road intersection in Perry Hall.
While officials say they anticipate repairing the water line Friday, Route 1 will be closed for several days to allow for repairs on the damaged road. Several hundred feet on Belair Road will need to be repaired.

Message signs will alert drivers to the shift, and so will traffic barrels, according to state highway personnel.

- Northbound US 1 is detoured onto MD 43
- Southbound US 1 is detoured onto Silver Spring Road
Drivers going between Harford and Baltimore counties should take I-95 and or MD 147/Harford Road as alternates.
